English & Social Studies

Whether it’s using AI to help write a world-class wedding speech for your best friend or crushing the last round of an interview process, communication and critical thinking are two of the most important skills we need in our professional and personal lives. It’s these skills I help students master in their time with me in English & Social Studies here at LCI.

I am a specialist in literacy and the humanities and have two master’s degrees in education from the University of Toronto and the University of Alberta, and am currently completing my doctorate in education. I have taught university courses at UofA, UBC, and now teach future teachers at the University of Lethbridge. My experience teaching secondary students has primarily been in IB/high school English and coaching public speaking, and most recently, working as a literacy specialist and consultant with our remarkable school division.

Outside of teaching, I love stand-up comedy, reading graphic novels, and spending time with my partner and (oppositionally defiant) French Bulldog. I am thrilled to continue the tradition of excellence at LCI, a cornerstone of education in Lethbridge, and contribute to our vibrant community!
