Lola Major is happy to be the board representative for Lethbridge Collegiate Institute. Mrs. Major has been a school board trustee for the past eight years but has participated in a number of school related committees for the past three decades. Mrs. Major believes “Quality K-12 Education for our students cannot be done without the engagement and collaboration of our team stakeholders-STUDETNS, PARENTS, TEACHERS, SCHOOL TRUSTEES, SCHOOL AND DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION, DISTRICT EMPLOYEES, COMMUNITY AND GOVERNMENT “.
The Board of Trustees of Lethbridge School District No.51 operates under the authority of the School Act (Statutes of Alberta, 1988) and policies and regulations pursuant to that legislation. The Board is charged with the responsibility to ensure that each of its resident students is provided with an education program consistent with the requirements of the School Act and exercises its authority through policy, regulations, and resolutions approved at duly constituted meetings of the Board.
