In what ways can we establish a community wide commitment that all students are prepared for their preferred future?
The LCI Admin team has committed to answering this question but we need your help. We need to hear multiple perspectives to ensure a balanced, informed, and well-developed response. Because of your integral involvement in our community, we would like to invite you to share your ideas and guide our direction!
On Tuesday, November 21st from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. we will be hosting a town hall meeting in our large gym. Our goals for the evening are to provide an opportunity for different groups (students, staff, parents, community, and business partners) to have a voice, hear from each other, and provide input regarding future initiatives and strategies that will help ensure that all students are prepared for their future while still taking time to enjoy the present. The format of the evening will be guided round table discussions facilitated by an LCI staff member with frequent opportunities for feedback and reflection.
The LCI School Council exists to support and facilitate the provision of educational opportunities, experiences and challenges for the students and school community of Lethbridge Collegiate Institute, thereby empowering students as lifelong learners, creative problem-solvers and caring, understanding, responsible individuals; and endeavoring to establish opportunities for stakeholders to share information and provide feedback in matters related to making available the most effective resources, programs and services to the students of LCI.
LCI School Council strives/endeavors to improve the level of communication and information sharing among education stakeholders on all levels and increase the level of school community involvement in decision-making regarding education matters in an effort to support the school community in delivering the best possible educational opportunities for the students of LCI.
