PURE MATH 20 (5 Credits)
(Prerequisite: Pure Math 10)
The topics discussed in Pure Math 20 include radicals, rational expressions, Functions and relations, geometry, quadratic functions, quadratic equations, probability and trigonometry. Problem solving is integrated into each of the topics. As well, there is an emphasis on the use of technology.
Students need to complete a 20 level math class to be eligible for a High School Diploma.
PURE MATH 30 (5 credits)
(Prerequisite: Pure math 20)
This course deals primarily with the topics of patterns and relations, shape and space, statistics and probability. Problem solving is integrated into each of the topics. As well, there is an emphasis on the use of technology. Fifty percent of the final grade is determined by a Diploma Examination.
