CTS courses offered at LCI are used to broaden the general education base and provide a possible career focus for students. CTS programs may lead directly into various technical post-secondary programs offered throughout Alberta and elsewhere, including apprenticeship programs.

All CTS strands have linkages to post-secondary programs.Through an agreement with the Lethbridge College, LCI students who take CTS courses will be able to earn credit in many college programs which they may choose to move into after completing high school.

Some CTS programs (Auto body, Automotives, Construction Tech, and Cosmetology) may allow the student to receive advanced credit and placement in an apprenticeship program.
